DJ Pierre, real name Pierre Baszczyk, was born on August 13, 1974 in Bad Arolsen and died on December 12, 2012 in Offenbach am Main.
His DJ career started at the discotheque Fabrik in the German city Eschwege were he organised as resident DJ a weekly techno night called "Space Factory". His breakthrough came when he was resident DJ at club Aufschwung Ost, later renamed Stammheim, in Kassel where he played from 1993 till 2002. In 2002 he became resident DJ at Hotel Reis. Besides these residencies he also played at other clubs like Omen, Tresor, U60311 and The Fuse in Brussel, Belgium. He was also a regular guest at the German radioshow hr3 Clubnight
In December 1998 he founded the record label HörSpielMuzik together with DJ Marky (Mark Pecnik), who was also resident DJ at Aufschwung Ost/Stammheim. "HörSpielMusik" was a basis for fresh talents and publicised unconventional experimental and electronic clubmusic. The name "HörSpielMusik" is definable in the symbols the way they like to see clubmusic. Music is always the constant factor if it is for our ears ("Hör") you can also interpret the pretension, or the game ("Spiel") or dance but all is in the listeners own conception. Together they released multiple EPs under the name Nagen & Saugen. On the label HörSpielMusik also productions from Heiko Laux and Chris Liebing were released.
In the years 2001 and 2002 he was listed in the top ten of the best National DJ's in Groove Magazine. On December 12, 2012 he died at the age of 38 by an asthma attack.
