April 10th, 1993 - Tony Humphries at L'America in the Leeds Corn Exchange

Liveset from Tony Humphries, recorded in 1993. Tony Humphries is well known for his early "New Jersey sound". As being exposed to The Loft and David Mancuso in the beginning, Tony has done a major contribution to the house music culture since then. He was the founder of and resident DJ at the legendary Zanzibar Club in New Jersey. He was also partly responsible for splitting the garage genre in half after he found out that "Closer Than Close" (performed by Rosie Gaines) was a Speed Garage anthem in England in the early 90's. He stopped playing the record in protest and therefore US Garage and UK Garage was born.

Various sources state that this set is recorded at the L'America party in the Leeds Corn Exchange. However several other sources and the flyer state that the DJ's at the L'America party were Todd Terry, David Morales and Paul Oakenfold.  So there is some uncertainty when this set is recorded.
