June 6, 1997 - Tall Paul and Smokin Jo live at Rhumba Club, Ice Factory



Liveset from the British DJ's Tall Paul and Smokin Jo, recorded at Rhumba at the Ice Factory in Perth, Scotland.

From December 1996 till June 2003 the Rhumba Club parties were held at the Ice Factory in Perth, Scotland. This was the 6th party held at this venue with DJ's Tall Paul, Smokin Jo and resident DJ Zammo behind the decks.

Tall Paul (real name Paul Newman) started to play in the Turnmills thanks to his father, who bought this club in 1985. He had a residency in Zap, London's Gardening Club... and many other. In the studio, He published his very first album in '92, a white label called "Love Rush", which has reedited one year later by Hooj Choons. With Red Jerry (foundator of this label) created together "Rok Da House", a number 11 in the elite top dance charts in England, after being reedited by VC in 1997.
As a producer, he worked in Camisra's "Let me show you", which was the #5 in charts. After that, he was remixed tracks of Duran Duran, Bizarre Inc, Dina Carrol and Blondie to name a few.
